What counts as a dental emergency?

Call us right away if you have:

  • Severe or persistent toothache
  • A broken, cracked or knocked-out tooth
  • A lost filling or crown
  • Swelling in the mouth, gums or face
  • A dental injury from a fall or sports

What to do before you arrive

For a knocked-out tooth, keep it moist (in milk or saliva) and bring it with you. For pain or swelling, a cold compress on the outside of the cheek can help. Above all — call us as soon as you can so we can advise you and prepare.

Gentle, fast relief

Emergencies are stressful. Our priority is getting you out of pain comfortably, then talking through any follow-up care once you’re settled.

Common questions

Good to know

What should I do for a knocked-out tooth?
Keep it moist — ideally in milk — handle it by the crown not the root, and call us immediately. Time matters.
Will I be seen the same day?
We make every effort to see dental emergencies the same day where availability allows. Call as early as possible.
What if it’s after hours?
Call (249) 501-9660 for our current hours and guidance. For severe swelling affecting breathing or swallowing, seek urgent medical care.
